Not so much with the writing, which is a shame, but plenty with the sewing and the felting and the brainstormings of beautiful smells--subtext has her hands full with packing up a fair portion of her life and schlepping it over here and that is fucking awesome but all I want to do is squee and tell her about recipes and work out how to do the website and and and OMG.
I hope to god the perfume thing works, I really do. They're going to be marvelous oils, and the ones I make will be cold-pressed from every fruit* on the tree of nerd-love in the dorky garden of my soul. Spacebat gets a smell. I have high hopes. I have high anxieties too, but it's not like I can return eleven pounds of smells and about three hundred bottles of various sizes. Succeed or die! Deep breath. Deeeeeeeep breath.
Right. Okay. Brain fizzy but in a good way. Finishing up the sewing stuff would actually be very meditative and good and I should definitely do that. Once I finish Kris's skirt I can start on Kat's buffalo soldier coat and bustle skirt, which is fabulous and interesting and feels like art instead of work. Every sewing project starts to feel like work after you'd spent two and a half hours binding seams, though. Still. Bustle.
This post needs more fandom. Any suggestions for character or canon-based scents would be faaabulous--I'm good at filing off serial numbers, so no worries there!
* I am aware that one cannot cold-press anything from a fruit but juice. I was makin' a, wossname, a hallusion.
